Major orientation

This major is the characteristic construction major of Guangdong Province. The discipline of Business Administration has been selected as the key cultivation first-level discipline of Guangdong Province, and the discipline of enterprise management is the key construction discipline of the university. Students will study in Guangdong Baiyun University for three years and pass the test. They will continue to study in University of Technology Sydney for two years. After passing all the courses, they will get the undergraduate and degree certificates of Guangdong Baiyun University and the master degree certificate of University of Technology Sydney. Students have a wide range of employment and further study opportunities, and good career prospects.


Training goals

To cultivate application-oriented undergraduate talents with all-round development of virtue, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, with international vision, innovative consciousness, craftsman spirit and practical ability; to master the basic theories and knowledge of management, economics and modern enterprise management, have the basic skills of management decision-making, cost control, human resource management, marketing, project management, quality management, etc., be familiar with business communication skills and technical skills of enterprise administration, and have the ability to analyze and solve practical problems of enterprise management. Have good professional ethics and comprehensive quality of management personnel.


Training Specifications

■ Master the basic theories, basic knowledge and professional operation skills of management, economics and modern enterprise management.

■Familiar with the operation process of domestic and foreign enterprises; Master the principles, policies and regulations related to business management at home and abroad; Understand the theoretical frontier, development trends of the discipline and the conventions and rules of international business management. Understand the conventions and rules of domestic and foreign markets, and understand the theoretical frontier and development trends of the discipline.

■ Proficient in qualitative and quantitative analysis methods commonly used in enterprise management, able to design statistical data programs, and have the ability to analyze and solve general management problems of enterprises.

■ Master the basic methods and work of people, finance, materials, information, projects, etc., familiar with the operation process of the enterprise value chain composed of production, procurement, sales, logistics, etc.

■ Strong ability of language expression, information collection and processing, acquisition of new knowledge. Good teamwork spirit, interpersonal communication, social activities and other basic skills.

■ Proficient in English and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer application skills, proficient in using commonly used office software and professional software such as image processing, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, etc., able to carry out related business in this field through the network.

■ Able to draft enterprise management consulting plans, conduct competitive intelligence analysis, and make comprehensive evaluation of different plans, with the ability to perform management, quality control and risk management for domestic and foreign enterprises.

■ Have a strong spirit of innovation, entrepreneurial awareness and a certain ability to start a business in both domestic and foreign markets.

Teaching condition

The university library has a wealth of professional books and digital resources, including 86,432 paper books related to Business Administration, 25,917 kinds of electronic books, as well as a large number of international and domestic economic management journals and magazines, with an average of 114.94 copies per student, which can meet the teaching needs. The university has also purchased electronic resource platforms such as CNKI, Wanfang Database, Weipu Database and Guoresearch Network, which facilitate the updating of teachers' teaching content and students' independent learning, and broaden students' reading capacity.

The major of Business Administration has 3 professional laboratories, covering an area of 460 square meters, with a total investment of 1.0658 million yuan. The professional laboratories can provide Internet access conditions for each student, which effectively supports the development of experimental and practical teaching.

The major of Business Administration has established a practice education base for students in Guangdong Province, cooperated deeply with a number of industry associations and well-known enterprises in the Pearl River Delta, established a professional steering committee consisting of more than half of industry and enterprise personnel, worked together to formulate talent training plans, co-built teaching teams, cooperated with industry experts, enterprise mentors and school teachers, and built a school-enterprise collaborative teaching quality evaluation system. School-enterprise cooperation improves practical teaching conditions, allowing industries and enterprises to participate in the discipline construction, curriculum construction and personnel training process in an all-round way.
