Professional Overview
Engineering Management is a highly integrated and applied discipline with dual attributes of engineering and management. Relying on the regional background of the Greater Bay Area, our university requires students to possess comprehensive knowledge in management, economics, civil engineering technology, and engineering information management. Based on mastering advanced engineering and information technology, students are trained to become compound, outward-looking, and pioneering senior engineering management talents for smart city construction, capable of making project decisions and managing the entire process in domestic and foreign engineering construction fields. With the continuous advancement of national infrastructure construction and the increasingly standardized engineering management, the Engineering Management major has broad employment prospects, high demand, and good graduate employment prospects.
Our Engineering Management major targets the economic construction of the Greater Bay Area, meets the demand for engineering management talents in the economic and social development of the Pearl River Delta and Guangdong region, and constructs a curriculum system related to professional qualification exams such as supervision engineer and cost engineer. We have established multiple off-campus practical teaching bases and are among the first to implement the "1+X" certificate pilot program.
Training Objective
The major aims to cultivate talents who meet the economic development needs of Guangdong Province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Students will master the basic principles, knowledge, and skills of Engineering Management, as well as specialized knowledge in project management, construction technology and management, engineering economic analysis, 3D simulation of engineering construction, and new BIM technology for buildings. They will acquire professional abilities in engineering project management, engineering supervision, and engineering construction, obtain basic training to solve complex engineering project management problems, and become excellent management talents with expertise in the entire process of building intelligence and informatization.
