The Objective 

The Course of Applied Psychology is designed to cultivate students with theoriectical knowledge, practices, regulations and skills in the area of applied psychology and develop students to a professional practitioner of applied psychology. 

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

Students who complete the Course will be able to understand and appreciate the theories and practices of applied psychology in relation to mental health, psychological consultation and treatment, counseling and treatment, crisis intervention as well as techniques and methods to undertake tasks such as case study, statistics and measurement, research, education and training in the field of applied psychologyand to be able to solve psychological problems in medicine and education, psychological diagnosis, psychological consultation and treatment, career selection, marriage and family counseling, and human resources consultation. 


The Course contains theories, practices, regulations, techniques, applied skills in the area of applied psychology, and apply a diversified methodology of teaching and learning such as case study, clinical practice, research projects, volunteer exercises. The Course is of 4-year duration.

Core Units

First Year: Introduction to Applied Psychology, General Psychology, Psychological History, Personality Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychological Statistics 

Second Year: Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychometrics, Clinical Psychology, Group Counseling and Consultation, Psychological Hygiene, Psychotherapy, Infant Psychology and Artificial Intelligence Development 

Third Year: Experimental Psychology, Psychological Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy (theory and practices), psychological research methods, judicial and criminal psychology, sand plate treatment, community psychology, Network Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Human Resources Development and Management

Fourth Year: Professional Practice, Graduation Practice, Graduation Thesis


The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   


The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.


Bachelor of Science will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation.

Graduates could seek a career in counseling services(psychological counseling, psychological assessment, youth group training, game therapy and education consultation), Community psychological services (community-based psychological counseling and emotional assistance activities and intervention), clinical services (psychological counseling, diagnosis, guidance and service to communities, related organizations and audiences), career counseling and career guidance (career guidance, career counseling and career planning. Intelligence development and training: infant intelligence development, family education guidance for primary and middle school students, and English potential development in kindergartens), human resource management (talent assessment, employee psychological counseling, staff quality training), and market analysis and advertising planning (customer psychological analysis for the understanding about the psychological needs of different customers, and constant improvement and optimization for the relationship with customers).
