The Objective

The Course of Electronic Communication Engineering is designed to cultivate students with theories, knowledge and skills in the area of electronic communication engineering and develop students to be an engineer in electronic communication.

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

Students who complete the Course will be able to master circuit CAD and embedded system technology, to design and manufacture electronic products, to process manufacturing, intelligent control, technical service and production management, and to possess the computer-aided circuit-aided designing skills and the application and development of embedded system technology.


The Course contains the theories, practices and skills in electrical engineering, program design, analog electronic technology, Cartographer (Electronic, Level 3) Professional Qualification, digital electronic technology, microprocessor theory and application, electronic product design and manufacturing. The Course is of 4-year duration.

Core Units

First Year: Circuit Theories, Analog Electronics, C Language Programing, Computer Application 

Second Year: Digital Electronics, High Frequency Electronics, Microprocessor Technology, Signals and Systems, Electronic Technology, Circuits CAD Technology

Third Year: Communication Theory, Sensing Technology, Database Theory and Application, Linux Pperating System, Embedded System Development

Fourth Year: Corporate Research, Production Internship, Graduation Gractice, and Graduation Thesis


The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   


The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.


Bachelor of Engineering will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation.

Career Prospects

Graduates could undertake jobs in the development, design and production of electronic products, the management of electronic engineering projects; and servicing in the information technology industries such as  telecommunications, transportation, defense, public security, banking, radio and television and other enterprises and institutions.
