The Objective

The Course of Internet Connetivity Engineering is designed to cultivate students with theories and practices of programming, technology and skills of internet design, and knowledge and standards of application of internet technology for commerce and services.

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

Students who complete the Course is able to undertake research and development, product development, product testing and technical application related to internet engineering for commerce, possess the ability to integrate, analyze, debug and maintain internet systems for the purpose of commerce and to plan, design, implement and manage the internet projects.


The Course contains Network Engineering CAD, Embedded Linux C Language, Java Programming, Network Services, Device Construction and Network, SCM and Interface Technology, Network Interconnection Technology, Embedded Linux System and Application, Internet Connectivity System Application and Development, Android Application and Development, Mobile Internet Connectivity Application, and Project Design.

Core Units

First Year: C language, CAD, digital circuit, Web page design

Second Year: Java, network server setup and management, microcontroller principles and interface technology, network interconnection technology, operating system (including WinCE), Sensors and Detection Technology, RFID and Barcode Technology, Electronic Circuit Board Design

Third Year: ZigBee Technology, MySQL Application, Communication Technology, ARM System, Android Application and Development, Internet Connectivity System Development and Application, Information Security

Fourth Year: Corporate Research, Production Practice, Graduation Practice, Graduation Thesis


The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   


The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.


Bachelor of Engineering will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation.

Graduates could seek a career in the area of the Internet Engineering for Commerce including smart home, intelligent transportation, smart medical care, smart grids, social utilities, financial systems, logistics and warehousing, community services, e-commerce, environmental protection, industrial monitoring, and ecological agriculture, "Internet +" project management and technical application of "Internet +" to administrative departments, institutions, and enterprises.
