On the morning of March 26th, a cross-border exchange meeting was held in the international conference hall of the north campus of our school. This event welcomed esteemed guests from afar: Professor Iain Watt, Vice President of International Affairs at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia, and Dr. Su Kanghua, President of the Australia-China International Cultural Exchange Association. President Yong Heming, Vice President Chen Chunfa, as well as the heads of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, Ji Wenbo International Fashion Design School, School of Foreign Languages, and International College, attended the exchange and negotiation meeting. The proceedings were presided over by Xie Yuanxia from our International Exchange Office. Guangdong Radio and Television Station's International Channel conducted a special report, featuring on-site interviews with President Yong Heming and Vice President Iain Watt about their collaboration projects and future visions.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, President Yong Heming, on behalf of our institution, extended a heartfelt welcome to our guests. He elaborated on the developmental trajectory, educational philosophy, and notable educational achievements of our school. As a leader among private universities in Guangdong Province, we are committed to advancing the internationalization of education and creating broader developmental opportunities for our students and faculty. Yong Heming emphasized that this exchange and collaboration with UTS and the Australia-China International Cultural Exchange Association would pave the way for limitless opportunities, mutually promoting the growth of international education.

Dr. Su Kanghua, President of the Australia-China International Cultural Exchange Association, highlighted the association's role in bridging education and cultural exchanges between Chinese and Australian universities. He underscored the importance of fostering exchanges and collaborations, especially between Guangdong Baiyun College and prestigious Australian universities.

Vice President Iain Watt of UTS expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He commended our school's dedication to international education and detailed UTS's educational philosophy and academic strengths, particularly in engineering and technology disciplines. He emphasized UTS's focus on integrating theory with practice and its commitment to nurturing innovative talents. Iain Watt looked forward to forging a long-term, stable partnership with our institution through this visit, aiming to jointly advance educational development for both parties.

During the discussions, both sides delved into potential future collaborations. Vice President Chen Chunfa provided an in-depth overview of our school's academic programs, teaching resources, and international education initiatives. The deans of various colleges also engaged in thoughtful exchanges with the guests, exploring topics such as short-term faculty and student exchanges, as well as collaborative research projects tailored to their respective fields. Both parties reached a broad agreement on collaborations at the undergraduate and graduate levels, spanning engineering, design, sports, and languages.

In the presence of President Yong Heming and Vice President Iain Watt, Vice President Chen Chunfa and Dr. Su Kanghua signed a cooperation agreement, solidifying a long-term partnership. The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, symbolizing the commencement of a new era of collaboration.

The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) stands as a renowned public research university in Sydney, Australia.
