The Objective

The Course of Broadcasting and Hosting is designed to cultivate students with  sound theoretical and professional knowledge and advanced practical skills in the area of broadcasting and hosting and develop students to be a professional broadcaster or a professional events host. 

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

Students who complete the Course will be able to appreciate latest theories and practices in broadcasting and hosting, understand the regulations on broadcasting, possess skills in broadcasting, program hosting, topical interviews, editing, TV program production, and develop professional ethics. The Course is of 4-year duration.


The Course contains theories and practices, applied skills and operations of TV and radio, ethic requirements and code of conduct  in broadcasting and hosting.


Core Units: Fundamentals of Broadcasting and Hosting, Principles of Journalism, Introduction of  

Communications, Practice of Hosting, Film and Television Editing, Oral Speaking Skills for Hosting, Radio and Relevision News Broadcasting and Topical Interviews,  Advanced Theories of   Broadcasting and Hosting, Television Broadcasting and Hosting, Recording, Editing and Production, Vgas Primere,  Program Preparation for Hosting, Radio and Television Program Production, TV Program Planning and Directing.

Practicum Units: 1) On-campus Practicum: Pronunciation and Broadcasting in Mandarin, Radio and Television Programming, Oral expression, Radio Broadcasting and Hosting, TV Broadcasting and Hosting. 2) Enterprise Internship: Production (Professional) Practice, Graduation Practice, Graduation Thesis.


The course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   


The Course  will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.


Bachelor of  Arts is awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation .

Career Prospects

Graduates could seek career in broadcasting and hosting (TV or Radio), TV or Radio Programs Production, Topical Interviews, Film Editing in radio stations, television stations as well as companies of media, film, internet media, government agencies and institutions. They could also work in vocational colleges and universities.
