I. Overview

The College of Architecture and Engineering has established an architectural professional cluster comprising six undergraduate majors: Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Engineering Cost, and Engineering Cost. The college has also fostered disciplines and majors in digital intelligent construction application technology. Led by a core faculty of professors and doctors, the college boasts a significant scale of operations. Its graduates are proficient in novel digital intelligent construction technologies, making them highly compatible with societal demands and popular among various industries and enterprises.

II. Goals and Objectives

Play a pivotal role in digital intelligent integrated architecture-related fields both nationally and internationally.

Establish a student-centric teaching platform driven by the "Six-Variable OBE Circular Teaching Model."

Create an integrated architectural discipline and major with a green ecological approach, integrating government support, top universities, enterprises, and platforms at national, provincial, municipal, and institutional levels.

Develop the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Prefabricated Building Technology Training Center" to foster close interactions between schools and enterprises.

Construct a first-class "Practical Teaching Base for the Integration of Industry and Education in Construction Industrialization Application" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In disciplines: Aspire to make the College of Architecture and Engineering at Guangdong Baiyun University a nationally advanced center for digital intelligent integrated construction engineering, achieving prominent applied disciplinary advantages, distinctive vocational education characteristics, and becoming a renowned high-level applied technology institution in China.

In talent cultivation: Build a practical teaching base for the integration of industry and education in construction industrialization application in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and cultivate students into highly skilled composite talents sought after by the industry.

IV. Architecture Undergraduate Professional Cluster

The college offers six undergraduate majors: Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning, Landscape Architecture, Engineering Cost, and Engineering Management. Leveraging the advantageous resources of the professional cluster, these majors can learn from and integrate with each other, further optimizing the allocation of knowledge, technology, industry, and services. This vigorously promotes the integrated development of high-end talents, technology, industries, and services. The courses, knowledge, and skills of each major within the cluster support, combine, and intertwine with each other, forming a comprehensive digital architecture curriculum knowledge system. Students majoring in any of these programs can acquire new knowledge and skills from the architecture professional cluster courses.

VI. Talent Cultivation

Theoretical Knowledge: The college provides a comprehensive curriculum system for the architecture professional cluster, cultivating a solid professional theoretical foundation, advanced BIM technology in digital architecture, urgently needed prefabricated construction skills, and the ability to innovate in intelligent construction by integrating theory with practice. Adhering to the principle of cultivating morality, the college aims to nurture high-quality, professional, and innovative talents with a global perspective, a sense of craftsmanship, and practical abilities.

Practical Skills: The college values students' future development, introduces cutting-edge architectural technologies, highlights the cluster's developmental advantages, and promotes interdisciplinary learning. It has established 12 project studios with enterprises, participated in over 100 enterprise projects, and enhanced students' ability to address practical issues.

Skills Competition: The college encourages and organizes students to participate in various competitions to refine their design skills and hands-on abilities. Students have won over 300 awards in national and international competitions, including gold medals in world competitions and national gold, silver, and bronze medals. Their innovative achievements have secured over 50 national patent licenses. The employment rate and job-major correlation of graduates are consistently above 90% each year. Due to their strong professional awareness, rich project experience, and timely mastery of new technologies, students are widely welcomed and highly regarded by enterprises. The satisfaction of employers ranks among the top in the province annually.

The college boasts a core faculty team of professors and doctors, comprising 119 professional teachers, 93% of whom hold doctoral or master's degrees. 78% possess dual qualifications, and 41% have national registration qualifications. Among them, over 30 teachers have received various honorary titles, such as "Outstanding Teachers in Guangdong Province" and "Excellent Private Teachers in Guangdong Province." Teachers have also won over 100 awards in various domestic and international competitions. The college possesses a team of teachers proficient in the latest digital intelligent construction theories and application technologies, building a first-class disciplinary platform.
