Computer Science and Technology ( Mutual recognition of Chinese and foreign credits )

Major orientation

This major aims to cultivate good scientific literacy and awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, systematically master the basic theories, basic skills and methods of computer science and technology, including computer hardware, software and application, have computer analysis and design, system integration, network application development and certain project management abilities, and have good communication, expression skills and team spirit. International applied talents of computer science and technology with good foreign language application ability. Students will study in Guangdong Baiyun University for three years with passed grades, and continue to study in University of Technology Sydney, Australia for two years. After passing all courses, they will get the undergraduate diploma and degree

certificate of Guangdong Baiyun University and the master degree certificate of University of Technology Sydney. Students have a wide range of employment and further study opportunities, and good career prospects.


Training goals

This major aims to cultivate all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, American, labor,master basic theories, basic skills and basic methods of this major, and possess computational thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship consciousness, teamwork spirit and international vision; To be engaged in the design and development of computer software and hardware application systems in domestic and foreign

enterprises and institutions in the information industry, as well as in computer technology, intelligent application and big data related industries; International applied talents in the field of IT engineering technology who can adapt to the progress of social science and technology and social development.


Training specifications

(1) Knowledge requirements

■ Knowledge of general education. Have a good scientific literacy, understand domestic and foreign advanced ideas, concepts, guidelines, policies; Master the basic methods of searching and obtaining foreign materials, and have the knowledge and skills of obtaining professional information at home and abroad; Master the relevant knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship; Know self-regulation, physical and mental health.

■ Basic professional knowledge. Mathematical knowledge and other related natural science knowledge required for software and hardware engineering development and design, technical service and other work in the field of computer science and

technology; Have a strong cross-cultural communication knowledge, familiar with a number of popular computer application hardware, software, network communication system; Be able to participate in basic computer science competitions.

■ Professional knowledge. Master the methods of analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of computer hardware and software; Master the basic theory of intelligent application technology, and have the basic knowledge of intelligent application software design, development, operation and maintenance; Master the basic theory of computer network, have the basic knowledge of dealing with network data communication and network security issues; Master the basic theory and basic knowledge of computer science and technology in general use in the world; Understand the latest developments of computer science and technology, have the basic literacy of developing new hardware and software systems, acquiring new knowledge, and

understand the relevant laws and regulations of the information industry.

(2) Ability requirements

■ Professional ability. Master the basic theories, skills, methods and related knowledge of computer science and technology, and have the basic ability to independently acquire knowledge, raise problems, analyze problems and solve problems; Have a strong IT related software and hardware, network application system project analysis, design and development ability, able to skillfully carry out general professional technical work, with good engineering practice ability; Have a strong ability of self-study and continuous learning ability.

■ Comprehensive ability. Have computer integrated information processing and system project development ability; Have the ability to read and learn foreign language materials skillfully; Have good reading, translation and communication skills of computer professional foreign languages, master the ability of literature retrieval and data query to obtain professional information at home and abroad.

■ Ability of innovation and entrepreneurship. Strong language expression, collection and processing of information, the ability to acquire new knowledge; Have a good spirit of solidarity and cooperation, interpersonal communication, social activities, organization and coordination and other basic skills required in the early stage of entrepreneurship; Have strong practical ability and innovation consciousness.
