This major is mainly aimed at Guangdong Province and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, cultivating comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, possessing patriotism, healthy personality, international perspective, craftsmanship spirit, and innovation ability. It has mastered the basic theories and professional skills of leisure sports, a certain degree of scientific and cultural literacy, a high sense of social responsibility, and good comprehensive quality. It is proficient in the basic theories, skills, and methods of leisure sports, has strong leisure sports skills, and is skilled in management and operation. It can engage in leisure sports teaching and guidance, sports club management, outdoor sports guidance, and sports tourism planning in schools, communities, sports clubs, and related enterprises and institutions, as well as sports functional departments. The training goal of this major is to cultivate applied talents who possess strong leisure sports skills, can engage in leisure sports guidance, training, and training, and have a systematic grasp of basic knowledge in business management, economics, and other aspects. They can also engage in the operation and management of leisure sports clubs and venues.

(2)Building an OBE talent training system and expanding course offerings with a market-oriented approach

The setting of the four major curriculum modules of basketball, badminton, sports dance, and leisure sports in this major reflects the development direction of "wide caliber, thick foundation, strong ability, and emphasis on innovation". It is market-oriented, based on social talent demand specifications, strengthens technical guidance, service and management training to set up professional backbone courses, designs professional skills elective courses in a professional form, and conducts targeted training of various sports talents through professional skills course modules.

7. Teaching staff

Our undergraduate program in Leisure Sports is led by Professor Liang Limin, former Dean of the School of Leisure Sports and Management at Guangzhou Sport University, and Associate Professor Yi Zhicheng from Guangdong Baiyun University.
