On the afternoon of September 25, 2024, the Opening Ceremony for the Bachelor-Master Articulation Programs between Guangdong Baiyun University (BaiyunU) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) was held in the Academic Hall at the North Campus of BaiyunU. Distinguished attendees included Xie Shaohua (Vice Chairman of the BaiyunU Board of Directors), Yong Heming (President of BaiyunU), Iain Watt (Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UTS), Katherine Su Nie ( President of the Australia-China International Cultural Exchange Society, ACICES), and BaiyunU vice presidents, deans and department heads.

The event was presided over by Professor Liao Kaihong, Dean of the International College. President Yong Heming delivered a passionate speech. He warmly welcomed the UTS-ACICES delegation and highlighted the significant advancement for both universities in educational cooperation. He pointed out that the implementation of the Bachelor-Master Articulation Programs aligns with the national strategy of internationalizing education and serves as an effective means to cultivate high-level international talents with global vision and competence.
