This Course has two majors: one in internet engineering and the other in internet finance. This Course is articulated with that of Purdue University, USA where students may study 3 years in China and 2 years  in USA to acquire two Bachelor degrees of China and USA

The Objective

The Course of Computer Science and Technology (Internet Engineering) is designed to cultivate students with theories and practices, knowledge and skills, and regulations and standards in the area of computer science and technology and develop students to be an engineer in computer science and technology.  

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities for the Major in Internet Engineering

Students who complete the Course are able to master theories, knowledge and skills of computer science and technology, be familiar with the hardwares and softwares of Internet communication, possess the capabilities of computer network analysis and design, system integration, internet management and maintenance, internet security, be equipped with advanced Web application development and project management capabilities.

Content

The course contains the theories, practices and skills in the area of computer science and technology including Webpage design and development,  software application projects, data structure and algorithm analysis, computer network application, network administration, exchange and routing projects, Web development projects, internet engineering projects, Android application development projects. The Course is of 4-year duration.

Core Units

First Year: Engineering Mathematics, Fundamentals of Program Design, Introduction to Computer Science and Technology, Webpage Design Technology, Programming, Digital Logic Circuit, Computer Composition and Structure

Second Year: Data Structure and Algorithm Analysis, Database Theory and Application, Computer Network, Principles and Application of Computer Operating Systems, Exchange and Routing Technology, Internet Operating System, XML Technology

Third Year: Internet Engineering and System Integration, PHP Technology, WEB Development Technology, Android Application and Development Technology, Linux Technology, Internet Security, Cloud Computing Technology

Fourth Year: Business Research, Production Practice, Graduation Practice, Graduation Design.

Delivery

The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 3 years on-campus and internship in the fourth year in companies off-campus or abroad.   

Assessments

The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation.

Award

Bachelor of Engineering will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation.

Graduates could seek a career as internet planner, internet designer, internet engineer, internet security engineer in industrial companies, business companies, telecom operators, system integrators, research institutions, educational institutions, enterprises, technology and administrative departments of the government 

This specialty is divided into two professional directions of network engineers and internet finance. Through the establishment of on-campus and off-campus practice platforms and the cooperation between univsersity and enterprises, students' ability connectting theory with practice is focused to cultivate students with good comprehensive qualities and adaptability in the workplace.
