The Objective

The Course of Business Administration is designed to cultivate students with theories and practices, knowledge and skills, standards and regulations in the area of business administration and develop students to be a professional manager in business. The Course is a double-bachelor degree program which is articulated with that of Midwest State University, USA. Students could study for 2 years in China and 2 years in USA and will be able to be awarded two Bachelor degrees. 

Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

Students who complete the Course is able to understand and appreciate the theories and practices in business administration, to be familiar with standards and ethics of business administration in China and USA, to master Chinese and English languages, and have access to professional qualifications of relevant business management associations in China and USA. 


The Course contains theories and practices, ethics and standards, skills and visions, business rules and multinational cultures in business management. The Course is of 4 years duration in China including 2 years of study in USA.

Core Units

The First Stage (Year 1 and Year 2):

10 Units of General Education: English 1, English 2, Physical Education and Sports, Ethics and Law, Modern Chinese History, Mathematics, Culture and Philosophy, Government Policies, Information Technology, Fundamentals of Marxism

10 Units of Disciplinary Education: English 3, English 4, Management, Principles of Accounting, Financial Management, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Cross-Cultural Communication, Marketing, and Information Systems Management 

The Second Stage (Year 3 and Year 4):

Students who meet the entry requirements could advance their study for 2 years at Midwestern State University, USA. 


The Course is delivered in lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practicum laboratories in the first 2 years on-campus and the study abroad programs in the third and fourth years in Midwest State University, USA or the third and fourth years in China.    


The Course will be assessed by progressive learning tasks, final examination and graduation thesis/dissertation as required by both Guangdong Baiyun University and Midwest State University.


Bachelor of Economics will be awarded to those who meet the requirements of graduation in China as well as Bachelor of Business Administration in USA. The USA Bachelor of Business Administration degree could be accredited by the Professional Body in USA.

Graduates could seek a career in the area of business administration such as corporate strategic management, department management, marketing management, sales management, product promotion management, cross-border e-commerce management, network marketing management, and customer service management in enterprises either in China or abroad or multinational corporations.
